JHENI OSMAN – Editor
Coming to Focus from a history in wildlife documentaries and, of all things, Turkish TV journalism, Jheni is so unnaturally good-natured that the rest of the team have taken bets on who can make her lose her temper first. Beware, though – Jheni's dark secret is her past as a tennis professional, and she still possesses a wristy topspin forehand that she uses on wayward contributors.

ANDY RIDGWAY – News Editor
Andy doesn't have a head for heights – a bit of a problem when he has to work on the 14th floor of our Bristol offices. "I haven't managed to look out of the window yet," he says. "I'm told you can see as far as Doncaster
on a clear day." A massive fan of the Italian Job (the original that is) he's yet to inflict his pitiful Michael Caine impressions on the rest of the team.

IAN TAYLOR - Features Editor
Ian is the man for features that requires somebody with wit, imagination and testicles so large they actually clank together when he walks. He has spent days testing the UK’s most pant-soilingly terrifying roller coasters, or standing in front of a high-pressure hose in the interest of determining the best waterproofs. And these were his ideas. Ian has won a few awards that he’s very modest about, but he’s never been the Focus employee of the month, and frankly he never will be unless his tea making improves.

JV CHAMARY - Staff Writer
A recovering academic, J is also known as the most dangerous man in
science. When not chasing interviews for Focus, he practises Darwin-do,
which combines his skills in martial arts and evolutionary biology. "It's survival of the fittest," he declares. J's been offering free lessons, but so far nobody has taken him up on the offer. "Everyone seems really keen until I mention that I’ll be showing them how to use my big stick."

STEVE SAYERS – Art Editor
Every morning Steve strides into the office and strips off his motorcycle leathers, causing the cleaners to go all of a flutter. His air of danger and mystery is reduced only slightly by his Birmingham accent. Steve’s CV
includes glory-covered stints as Art Editor on magazines like BBC Sky at Night and SFX, where he was able to play with all the Buffy and Star Wars toys a boy could hope for. He hasn’t put Darth Vader on the cover of Focus yet, but it’s surely just a matter of time.

RACHEL DICKENS – Deputy Art Editor
We only had to beg a little to get Rachel to grace our art team with her presence, and she now brings a light touch and a faint odour of lavender to the pages of Focus. She is a woman of eclectic tastes in art, music and alcohol, and can usually be found at lunchtimes wearing a hat with a can of Guinness affixed to each side. Rachel can smile sweetly even when she hates you, and she's strawberry-blonde, not ginger.

JAMES CUTMORE
– Picture Editor
With a degree in fine art under his belt, former Kay's catalogue model James copes manfully with constant demands that he finds pictures of severed heads and angry chickens. He survives by keeping the neatest stationary drawer in all Britain, and concentrating on his deep, almost disturbing, love of all things automobile.
